"If you don't get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don't want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can't hold on to it forever. Your mind is your predicament. It wants to be free of change. Free of pain, free of the obligations of life and death. But change is a law, and no amount of pretending will alter that reality."

Why 'Where's My Happiness?' Beats 'Where's My Stuff?'

I wanted to share a video from Vickie Barnes of Discovering Peace. I think

True Indeed Pete,
In the movie based on Dan Millman's book "The Peaceful Warrior," the wise man Socrates teaches the young Dan that he needs to relinquish his desire for control. "The one thing you'll never have"
This seems like a paradox, cause we know that the mind creates reality. However, while we do create our reality, an attachment to a certain desire is unhealthy too.
It's a balance that needs to be maintained.
Peace,
